Why Is My Mother Having Problems In Periods ?

my mother s age is 46years.her weight is 99kg.she has period problem.last 2 month she no period and this month the periods are on the date but 15 days has passed. the speed of the periods is just like first day.now my mother fell so weakness and sometime she can t stand.plz sir tell me the reason behind this.and suggest what can we do for this.

Thanks for writing to us.
Heavy bleeding for last 15 days can be due to fibroids of uterus, polyps, hormonal disturbances, etc. All these causes need to be ruled out one by one after investigations. Presently she needs tranexaemic acid and progesterone tablets for acute control of bleeding.
