Why Am I Getting Itchiness In My Eyes?

Hello,
I am 36 yrs old female. When summer starts, in March-April, itchiness starts in my eyes. This is happening for last 4-5 years. I don't take any medicine for this just wash my eyes with water and put rose water, but 2 yrs ago, I consulted a doctor who prescribed me lotepred eye drop. I saw the warning on it that it can cause glaucoma and cataract, so I stopped it using. I am still facing this problem when summer starts.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having allergic conjunctivitis and you were given lotepred for treatment.
Lotepred is a steroid it can cause cataract or glaucoma on long term use. It is required for acute cases and should be used for shorter period.
However many other anti allergic drugs which are safer are available. You can use antihistamine drugs like olopatadine which do not have this side effect. They can be used for long time without any side effect.
Along with this avoiding the allergen and washing the eyes with water will help to reduce symptoms.

Thank you
