What Is The Treatment For Sinus Tachycardia?

Hi, I'm a 24 year old female.. I just had a baby a week ago.. I had sinus tachychardia for a few years before and during the pregnancy. I have a history of anxiety problems.. At about the 8th month of pregnancy and still occuring now, I've been having a resting heart rate in the 40's and 50's. I do ont excercise and I've never experienced this before.. Please help! I'm so worried. I had an EKG and thyroid tests and both are normal. I'm always fatigued and cold also dizzy.

Hello
thanks for using health care magic

We talk of sinus tachycardia when your heart rate is rather very high above 100 beats per minute. With heart rate of 40 - 50, its rather sinus bradycardia and that explain your fatigue.

But then you said your ecg and thyroid tests were normal, which gives me ambiguity in the heart rate values 40-50 you have given.

However, meet a cardiologist to follow you up.

Best regards
Dr Achuo
