What Is The Treatment For Ovarian Cyst?

Hi i was recently diagnosed of bilateral ovarian cyst due to hormonal imbalance. My ob told me to take Yaz for 6mos but I just took the pill for 2days coz i dont like the side effects that makes me feel so dizzy and feels like my head are flowing and theres a numbness on my finger tips. I just want to ask if i can change to althea pills? And do i have to worry that much regarding my bilateral ovarian cyst? And what if i dont want to take pills, is there any remedy for my cyst? Hoping for your help. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Birth control pills will help reduce the size of the ovarian cyst. If you are having difficulty tolerating Yaz, then switching to another oral contraceptive can be considered. Please be advised to follow up with your treating physician to discuss this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
