Since she has been seen by many Doctors, it is obvious that she is properly investigated to know the cause and may be given the specific treatment. I would advise her the following: - Ascitic fluid needs to be given for analysis to find the cause like tuberculosis, cancer and so on. - Blood tests to see for whether there is anemia, hypoproteinemia, liver and thyroid functions and other tests as per the clinical evaluation. - Cardiac check up to see whether there is primary or secondary effects. - Ultrasonography and CT scan for assessing the intra-abdominal conditions. All these tests will find the cause and give plan for further proper management.
