What Is The Solution For Doxycyline Malaria Tablet Side Effects?

Hi,im in Goa, india with my girlfriend and she is on Doxycyline malaria tablets but has had a bad reaction to them..she has taken antihistine tabletss but not helped, what should she do as were over here for another 5 days?

Hi,

I have gone through the medical history of your girlfriend and understood your concerns.

If anti-histamine tablets are not helping to resolve her bad reaction, then, should send her to ER as soon as possible as she might need injections.

If Doxycycline is giving allergic reaction, then, another alternative is Mefloquine. Can discuss it further with an infectious disease specialist.
