What Is The Possibility Of Being Pregnant When The Tubes Are Tied ?
Tubal two yrs ago and a week late for my period Hi im a 31 yr old mother of six. With my last child I had placenta previa and bled out prompting an emergency c-section. My ob/gyn tied my tubes in June of 09. My cycle has been coming on regularly about every 28 days. I am a week late for my period. Could I be pregnant and will I be able to carry this baby to term?!? Hi D.B.
Since your Tubes were ligated in June 09, there is very little possibility that you may be pregnant. Get you urine tested for pregnancy. If it does show positive result, get an ultrasound scan done after a week or two to confirm that the pregnancy is in the uterus and not in the tubes. Accordingly you can decide what to do.
Hi,thanks for query. After tubal ligation chances of pregnancy are very very less. Not only tube is ligated but the ends are not even in contact with each other. Please go for urine pregnancy test.In an unfortunate case if it positive you can continue till term if your want,as the tube ligation and baby growth are not related. Please talk to your doctor also for some other reason for delay in periods.buy.
