General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for your query.

I will try my best to provide you with best possible professional recommendations to your questions.
A cough in children may be either a normal physiological reflex or due to an underlying cause. In healthy children it may be normal in the absence of any disease to cough ten times a day. The most common cause of an acute or subacute cough is a viral respiratory tract infection.
I advice you to take cough suppressants for day or two if it does not subside i advice you to see Physician to find the cause which is responsible.

Yet again, I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.

Regards
I find this answer helpful
