Hi
Thanks for writing in.
You are probably having a condition called leukonychia and this can arise mostly from an injury to the base of the nail. However, in some people it can occur due to a problem in the kidney and the liver function as well. I went through your history and i dont think its related to any liver or kidney problem.
You can expect it to get better within 4-8 weeks as that is the time it takes for the nails to grow back. No treatment is required as such.
Hope this helps.
Regards

hi welcome to hcm.see first you not mention your age and since from where you notice these changes in your nails? sometimes any heart abnormality leads to these changes, sometimes anemia,or it could be some other cause so you concern any physician for that.hope for best.
thanks
