What Is The Best Time Of The Cycle To Take A Pregnancy Test?

Hi there, Am just woundering when the best time to take a pregancy test. My first day of my last period was the 6th Januray 2013 and I finshed on the 10th I was ovlating on the 10th to the 15th. Me and my partner has intercourse on the 11th to try for a baby, would it be to early to take a test now or should I wait? My period aint always on time has 3 weeks agao I came of the pill to try for another baby. Thank you for you help! Katherine

Hello, well from the history you have given, you can confirm your pregnancy by doing a urine pregnancy test after missing your period. ..that is from the day you expect your periods are supposed to start...Sometimes in early weeks of gesration , the urine pregnancy test may show faintly positive line or simply will not turn out be positive, this is because of low levels of beta HCG in early weeks....In case your periods are regular that is every 28 to 30 days, you can do test from 4 weeks, but if you have irregular periods, or delayed periods, you may have to waite for another week....If you cannot waite for your result, then you may do a serum beta HCG wherein the pregnancy can be confirmed earlier than the urine test....hope i was helpful to you. ..
