What Influence Does Thyroid Have In Increased Heart Rate?

My heart rate always runs between 85-100. Recent tests show shaow Sinus Tachycardia (102 pm at time of test).

Should I be concerned? I exercise daily at 64 yrs old. Medication? Throid test? What influence does thyroid have.

Thyroid hormones increase the basal metabolic rate (oxygen utilization in an individual during minimal physiologic activity). The hormones also increase the heart rate to meet up with the metabolic needs of the tissues. I would suggest you do the thyroid test or see an endocrinologist for proper assessment.
