What first aid must be taken if someone swallows a stapler pin?

Today while eating i accidentally bit a stapler pin. My young nieces (6 and 10) were eating the same food too. I was shocked and immediately stopped my nieces from eating whatever remained of the food. However, in the event that someone does swallow a stapler pin, what first aid and action would you recommend? Must the patient be rushed to the hospital? Will an x-ray reveal the pin? Will the pin cause internal bleeding? Must the patient try to vomit the food? Are young children likely to choke on a pin? My nieces are feeling fine. Must i take them to a doctor? Please advice.

HELLO
YES ,AS PINS ARE MADE UP OF METAL X -RAY WILL DETECT PIN IF IT IS PRESENT IN BODY.
IT WILL BE NICE IF U GET DONE X-RAYS IF PIN IS INSIDE BODY IT WILL HELP TO LOCATE POSITION OF PIN IN FOOD CANAL.IF NOT SEEN ON X RAYS PIN IS NOT PRESENT IN BODY SO YOU WILL BECOME TENSION FREE. PATIENT MUST NOT TRY TO VOMIT IT OUT IT MAY CAUSE CAUSE MORE DAMAGE TO ESOPHAGUS DUE TO FORCEFUL VOMITING .ASK PATIENT TAKE HIGH FIBRE DIET AS PINS ARE TINY IN SIZE MORE LIKELY TO BE PASSED ALONG WITH STOOLS. FIBRE DIET WILL FROM BULK OF STOOLS IT WILL KEEP PINS COVERED AND WILL LEAD TO LESS TRAUMA TO FOOD CANAL.IF PATIENT HAS ABDOMINAL PAIN OR VOMITING KINDLY CONSULT IMMEDIATELY TO DOCTOR
