Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion the placenta in the lower segment means low lying placenta. This might be there in a few people in early pregnancy but it might spontaneously move towards upper segment during the course of pregnancy which is a normal position of placenta.Low lying placenta might cause bleeding during pregnancy which makes mother anaemic and growth retardation of baby.So I suggest
you to avoid provocative factors which cause bleeding like physical strain, intercourse etc.Take strict bed rest.Follow the position of placenta with a course of ultrasounds.
