Brief Answer:
Strict bed rest is only advised in complicated pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to healthcare magic.I understand your concern.
In my opinion the strict bed rest is advised only in special cases like high BP,placenta praevia, previous history of miscarriages, cervical incompetence etc.
For a normal pregnancy there is no need of obsolute bed rest. You can happily perform daily activities.
Daily antenatal yoga or exercise should be practised.Daily walking upto 1/2 an hour to 1 hour is good.
All the above activities increase your stamina and aid for normal vaginal delivery.
Take healthy nutritional diet and adequate fluids upto 3 litres per day.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss furthur.
Best regards...Dr.Srilatha
