What Does It Mean By Degeneration Of 2 Discs In My Neck In X-ray Report?

my right lips, tongue down to my right fingers feel tingling daily, like i slept on them. my doctor sent me to xray my neck. x-ray came back saying there is degeneration of 2 discs in my neck. what does this mean? what about the feeling in my right lips and tongue which the walk-in doctor says does not spring from the degenerated discs?

Hi,
Pressure on the nerves or neuropathies (pathology in nerve) to lead to tingling sensation or pain in the area the nerve supplies.
The degeneration in the 2 discs, if it is compressing the nerve, would lead to pain in the corresponding areas. Example: Cervical vertebrae nerve pressure can lead to pain in the upper limbs.
The tingling could be due to neuropathy probably due to vit B12 deficiency. Nutritional improvement could improve your condition. For vertebrae, you might need cervical collar along with physiotherapy and vitD, calcium supplementation.
If more details, are available, I can explain you more specifically.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
