What Does Few Scattered Diverticula From The Signmoid Colon Found Out During Tests Indicate?

I just got labs back indicating that I have a few scattered diverticula from the signmoid colon. What does that mean? I ask the doctor and still they were vague. And what about degenerative changes of the lower thoracic spine? Was told that was Arthritis, but the doc showed no concern when I ask about it.

Hello, diverticula in the sigmoid mean out pouchings in the colon. In case you do not have pain or bleeding from stools you need nor worry about them.
Increase fibre in your diet to prevent increase in number of diverticili.
You need not be concerned about the thoracic spine if you do not have any symptoms
Hope this helps
