What Could It Be If Had A Lump In The Cheek Which Is Tender To Touch After Being Punched?
Hi, I was punched in the face just above my jawline, a few days ago. There was no break in the skin, but I do have a quarter-sized lump in my right cheek. It is now hard..but just a little tender to the touch. Any answers as to what it may be and whether I should seek further help? I did go to the er when the incident happened..told I suffered a concussion.
Hello, Thank you for consulting with HCM. It looks that when you got hurt, the pressure was transferred to your jaw bone or may be the tooth, because of that there was some infection which has lead to this swelling or lump.
Other option is, that it can be a normal lymph node which has become tender because of infection.
Better once you should visit your dentist get a full mouth x-ray (OPG) done as it will show the area of infection.
Hope it will help you
