What Could Constant Pain In Hip To Knee Elevated During Walking, Popping And Grinding Feeling In Hip Indicate?
Hi my name is Alaya, i am 15 years old and for months i have been having an uncomfortable and painful feeling in my hip and down to my knee. The pain used to be moderate and would only occur from time to time. But lately its been occurring everyday and its starting to become more severe. When i try to walk around or excersize it starts to hurt more. When i sit down it doesn t go away. Also, since i was 10 my hip has been doing this popping and grinding feeling when i walk. Now i know i shouldn t go online to try and diagnose myself but the number answer that i find is SCFE. Could that be the answer?
Hi there. Firstly pain of such nature could be due to a couple of reasons and I am sure you must have read about most of them over the net and by doctors .
Firstly get an MRI of the hip done to reach to a proper diagnosis.
The knee pain which you are experiencing is referred pain from the hip and not due knee pathology per se. Take complete bed rest till then or try curtailing your activity to a minimum to avoid further damage. Take some anti inflammatory for the time being till the MRI report comes in.
Good luck.
