What Causes Urinary Retention And Loss Of Control?

Patient age = 67 Sex - Female 20 years history of diabetes Received stroke in 2007 Reported decreased control over urine, problem aggravated for quite some time now USG taken now showing Residual Urine Problem PVRU 98.8 cc (loss of control on urine), having acute pain, Insulin 15 evening, 15 morning. 24 HOURS URINE CULTURE GROWTH OF KELPSHILA BP 110, 70, BLOOD SUGAR 200. Medicines taking currently ASPIRIN + ATOREC 10, URISPAS (SOS), ZENOCIN, COVANCE – D, , CRANPAS Patient under great distress, please advice.

The urinary retention issue is from multiple factors as urinary infection, diabetes affecting pelvic nerves to control urination or others.

The guidelines for best recovery are:
- Strict control of diabetes with Insulin.
- Control of urinary infection.
- Regular follow up with urologist.
