Hi I am a male , experiencing a sharp to dull pain at times just around half a centimetre or 1CM under my left side of my Breast/Nipple region. This pain comes and goes at times. Could go for few days to a week or more at times. Last time I got this pain was when I was out at a club with friends, and I became sick (As I had the flu) but then I got the pain bad just beside the dance floor, the bouncers/security assumed I took drugs or sniffed something, which I know I didn t. I do smoke ,and drink (on occasions, not a big drinker). But the pain became really bad that I was hanging over the bars, with my cousin and friend at my side. I do have a disease called Emphisema (not sure about the spelling) that is Hureditry on my dads side of the family, which is dad, uncle died of and now he has it since age of 45. I do not wish to get this, but I am afraid I might if I keep smoking. Which leads back to this pain on the left side of chest. I am wondering what the problem could be? I would go to my local doctor but, they aren t always right. Please help me find out what is wrong. Thank you.
