What Causes Palpitaions With Chest Pain And Sweaty Hands?

yesterday I was at church and my heart started beating faster, had pain in neck and shoulders, then one pain in my left chest. My hands got really sweaty too. But this has happened before. I have been told I have fibromyalgia and gallbladder disease. I have had test in the past and all came up normal.

Dear patient,

Thanks for your query. Palpitations that are sustained at rest and are associated with symptoms, inclduing chest pain or shortness or breath, should be investigated further, depending on the frequency in which they happen. If it is daily or every other day, a Holter monitor may serve the purpose, otherwise an event monitor may be indicated if the symptoms occur infrequently and there is no associated loss of consciousness. talk to your doctor about these options.

Hope that helps, wish you the best,
