What Causes Pain Where The Appendix Has Removed?

Had appendix removed 7 weeks ago and recovered nicely at first. I now feel some pain (discomfort) to the left of the scar (not severe, rather annoying for most part). Is this still healing scar tissue? When I lie on my back, head elevated on a pillow, pain moves up the right side to the left of my shoulder blade, at times across the whole shoulder to the left side as well. It is a sharp pain and more intensive when breathing heavy. Hospital did a lung x-ray (side view right side) after mentioning it during follow-up visit, but found nothing. My own remedy is try to lie flat on my back and relax consciously, which sometimes helps. Returned to strength training after 6 1/2 weeks thinking it might help as I did intensive training prior to surgery.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history removal of appendix 7 weeks ago. There is pain on the left of the scar and in between should blades and across shoulder to the left side. X-ray chest for lungs is normal, returned to strength training which you did before surgery too.
I think the three entities are different.
Appendix is already removed and may not be directly related to the pain on the left side of the scar.
This may be a local problem with the abdominal wall post-operatively, may be local nerve entrapment or scar becoming tender .
The pain in between the should blades looks to be local muscular problem as per the history you have provided.
Consult an Orthopedic Surgeon for its evaluation and examination and MRI of the cervical spine as this may be responsible for the pains.
This way you can get the correct diagnosis and proper management.
