What Causes Mood Swings And Depressed Feelings After Taking 'cilest' Pills?

Been taking the contraceptive pill Cilest for 8 days now, am concerned about my state of mind, feeling extremely depressed, having extreme mood swings, not feeling myself at all, extremely anxious and irritable. Have also experienced heavy nose bleeds lasting up to any hour at a time. Not sure whether to continue taking this pill as its very new to my system or stop immeadiatly!? Feeling very unhappy!

Hi

Combined oral contraceptives like cilest causes mood changes, depression, headache and weight changes.Kindly stop the drug and rule out other causes of nose bleed. Newer contraceptives containing desogesterol can be tried.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
