I think I was drugged while I was at a bar. I ended up being arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest. I remember being at a bar and then I woke up in the drunk tank at the county jail. I was only buzzed when I went to the bar and I personally didn't buy any drinks because I didn't have cash on me, but I blew a .127%. At jail I was not tested for any drugs. I just want to know why I do not remember any thing. Is this a common side affect of Rohypnol or any other substance?
Yes, drugs like Rohypnol can cause complete or partial anterograde amnesia (absence of memory for the events that occur after it is ingested). This means that you may not be able to remember what was done to you while you were under the influence of the drug, which may have been for a significant period of time. This amnestic effect is especially likely when Rohypnol is ingested with alcohol. Heavy alcohol drinking can also be followed by black outs but at least the people remember that they were drinking.
Best wishes.
