What Causes Lower Stomach Pain, Tenderness In Nipples When Having PCOS?
Dear Doc, I am 36yrs old and married since last four years. But didnot became pregnant not once even. I used to visited Gyn doc for treatment, as she dignosed me having PCOs. THis month she gave me IVF treatment this (second) time. Now i am feeling pain in my lower tummy and my nipples are tendered since this 14/12.Please guide me,are these symptoms of early pregnancy.
Though minimal lower abdominal pain and tenderness in nipples can be seen in early pregnancy, these can be seen in premenstrual phase also.
So, just by the symptoms it is difficult to draw a conclusion regarding the pregnancy. I can understand your concern as this is second IVF to you.
As the success rate of IVF varies from 40 to 50%, by confirming the investigations only we can come to one conclusion regarding pregnancy.
So, you can go for blood test for pregancy at around 2 weeks after the IVF date, if the beta HCG value is more than 5 mIU/mL it is suggestive of pregnancy and a value above 25 mIU/mL is confirmation of pregnancy.
Please continue the medicines given by your doctor and go for blood test according to the schedule and be hopeful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri SR
