General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Irregular periods suggest some type of hormonal problem (Thyroid, ovarian or pituitary problem) which has affected your periods, health and married life also. To find the cause and get specifically treated is important from that point of view. Please consult a gynecologist / endocrinologist (for physical examination and needful investigations) for more specific advise.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
