Hi myself pankaj 36years 87kg, ht. 5 ft. 7 inches , a teacher by profession. In past four years i had about eight to ten episode of some abnormal feeling thay i am in motion relative to surrounding, especially my head, but these episode were very short i.e. only for 5 to six seconds. Now one month before I again had same horrible episodes then I went to my family doctor (m.d.) He suggested me cinnarizine (tds) & some antibiotics & asked me to go to an opthalmologist. Two days later i again went to my family doctor,He added vertin & ecosprin 75 , but i took only one dose of vertin & continued on ecosprin & cinnarizine(tds). I visited a neurologist(D.M.) He examined me & dignosed my problem as BPPV(vertigo) & asked me to continue cinnarizine. My opthal specialist ruled out any problem in vision, however unofficially he spoke me that perhaps it could be TIA. Hence on self inspire i had my lipid profile test ,results of which were(1) Total chol. 223.00mg/dl triglycerides 148.00, hdl 40.00, ldl 154.00, vldl 29.00 cardiac risk factor 5.5. Also a complete blood count test , the results of which were hb 13.8%, total w.b.c. 9000/cmm, esr 10mm , platetet ct. 1.18lakhs/cumm, r.b.c. 4.54 million/cmm ,, blood sugar pp. 103.00 mg%. Meanwhile I found that my b.p. is 150/106. now I went to a neurosurgeon , he said that this is not vertigo because vertgo episodes are usually long & my episode lasts only for 4 to 8 seconds . he asked me to get mri of brain. The results of mri scan was MR images revealed asymmetrical frontal horns of the lateral ventricles – congenital. My neurosurgeon doctor decided that mri is normal. He suggested me to take pronol-H (1HS)for 10 days. This drug contain propanolol 5 mg & alprazolam 2.5 mg. I took this drug two times but now some other doctor friend told me that this can’t control your B.P. I went to another doctor who advised me 1 Nebi-am (nebivolol 5 mg & amlodipine 5 mg) & I ecosprine-av ( ecosprine 75 mg & atorvastatin ) In ten days my bp came to 135/92 but still I am having horrible episodes(10 second long) in which my body feels very different especially head . I feel that I am moving back & forth. Sir is it TIa or vertigo or something else . After the episode my all functions are quite well except heaviness behind eyes, a pain lining sometimes in head, & a little confusion in vision, concentration .Sir my father is a heart patient for last 15 years .& have family history of hypertension.
