Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query . The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards withdrawal symptoms of smoking and not because of nicotine gum . Quitting smoking is a challenging task . It generally takes 8- 12 weeks for a person to get normal.

But the first 48 hours are crucial as symptoms are at the peak like tingling sensation oh hands and feet , cramps in intestine ,anxiety , headache , flue like symptoms and dizziness.

I would suggest you to consult doctor for proper evaluation of the condition . Doctor can help you to make you through this condition.

Usually the symptoms like dizziness go away by there own in 4-5 days .

For now what you can do is continue gum as it can bring down the intensity of symptoms eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and exercise for half an hour daily (light exercise) .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
