What Causes Delay In Periods Having Taken I Pill Within 18 Hours Of Intercourse?

Hello there.

I remember last getting my period on the 29th of November. I took the postponement tablets of Regestrone 5mg from the 29th of December to 3rd January. I took 2 tablets with a 3 hour gap between them on each day, except on 3rd Jan when I took just 1 5mg tablet. I lost my virginity on the 4th of January, and had unprotected sex multiple times on the night of 4th and the morning of the 5th, but my boyfriend always pulled out and did not ejaculate inside me even once. However, I had heard that it is possible to get pregnant from pre-ejaculate, so I took an i-pill within 18 hours of the first sex and within 5 hours of the last sex. Basically, within 20 hours of the entire act. I had no side effects of the i-pill except for a little headache and white discharge.

However, I took regestrone until 3rd, i-pill on 5th, and I am getting vaginal bleeding in normal menstruation amounts from today, the 11th of January. Along with the bleeding is very slight, almost unnoticeable vaginal pain which I felt only 1 time before. This bleeding is 6 days after taking the i-pill and 8 days after the postponement tablets. I am aware that withdrawal bleeding is common after taking emergency contraceptive. So, since I postponed my period to this month from last month and expected proper menstruation anyway, my question is:

1) What I am experiencing right now? is it MENSTRUATION OR WITHDRAWAL BLEEDING?
2) does having withdrawal bleeding mean that I am not pregnant?
3) Given the above explanation which is precise and the full truth, HOW LIKELY IS IT THAT I MAY BE PREGNANT even though I am getting proper bleeding and not spotting?
4) If and only if there is even a slight chance of me getting pregnant, when should I take the pregnancy test and which test (in India) would you recommend me taking?

Thank you in advance

Hi

Your bleeding is most likely to be withdrawal bleeding. In the subsequent cycles your bleeding will regularise. It is highly unlikely for you to get pregnant since you have taken good precautions.

Incase you have to rule out pregnancy, urine test should be taken 10 days after missed period.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
