Hello Thanks for your query. Even after getting inhalers your shortness of breath is getting worse. That may be due to vocal cord dysfunction syndrome which has asthma like presentation and the diagnosis of which is to be established by laryngoscopy during an attack of breathing problems and you also should undergo a spirometry test. Even if it is astham, you need to exclude underlying co-morbidities like GERD (gastro-esophageal reflux disorders). You should consult a good pulmonologist and get yourself thoroughly examined.
