hi my daughter is 10 years old.she has urine infection since last two weeks .she feels burning while passing urine with blood.she also had puss cells 20-30.she had urine infection two months ago also.after recovery again same problem.what to do?now she is having chest pain.
I don't want you to panic, recurrent UTIs is common among children, especially females.
Drinking more water and taking medication to alkalinize the concentrated urine will reduce the burning pain and by doing the urine culture and sensitivity, will come to know the antibiotic which can be used. By doing an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis, we can know if there are any stones in the urinary tract.
You need not worry about the chest pain as it is highly unlikely to have a cardiac cause of chest pain, it is highly probable due to acidity, which can be reduced by simple antacid and avoiding spicy foods.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
