What Causes A Blind Spot In One's Vision?

My husband, age 75 had a cataract removed 2 years ago. His eye has never felt the same to him. Now he says he sometimes has a blind spot in the middle of his vision. He stopped seeing his ophthalmologist because he wasn't happy with the surgery. He will find a new doctor. Meanwhile. I'm curious...

once surgery is done it is different type of vision. accommodation bincularity is permanent ly lost. size of object are different. these are generally briefed before surgery. what he is telling blind spot is scotoma. nothing can be done now. can always discuss with surgeon who has done the operation.
