Hello Doctor, My mother in law, age is 51. she went for cataract operation before 2 years for both eye. Two months back we cleaned her both eyes lens and she wore glasses. today she told me that she lost her vision on left eye. What will be the reason for it.
There can be many causes for sudden loss of vision such as retinal vessel obstruction, retinal detachment, optic neuritis, vitreous hemorrhage, CSR and so on. Get her eye examined by an ophthalmologist at the earliest. Sometimes early diagnosis can help in better prognosis.
