What Are The Side Effects Of Hysterectomy?

i had a complete hysterectomy seven weeks ago and i am in extreme pain on my left side and it goes around into my back. my ob checked me and said i need more healing time. I was better around the fourth and fifth weeks of recovery but have been in severe pain since. My bladder also spasms like crazy when i urinate. My doctor also had to use mesh during surgery. Why so much pain ? Thanks Laurie

Hello,

Given your symptoms, it would be best to undergo a urine analysis and culture done to rule out possible urinary tract infection.
Meanwhile, drink plenty of water and take Tylenol for pain.

Hope this answers your question
