I have been on Prozac for 1 mo. but want to switch back to Lexapro. Lexapro history dates back 10 mo. with a daily dose of 5 mg. Titrated off as I didn't feel I needed further treatment. Anxiety/moderate depression exacerbated and I was prescribed Prozac, 5 mg for 14 days to increase to 10 mg for 14 days. I am dissatisfied with minor side effects (insomnia, dry mouth, some hair loss) and would like to revisit Lexapro, but on a 10 mg dosage. I have a supply on hand which will hold me over till my Psychiatrist returns from vacation. I have taken a lesser dose of Prozac (5 mg) for last three days. Is that enough time to start new regime of Lexapro. To reiterar: I was only on Prozac for 14 days.
