What Are The Negative Effects Of Smoking Weed On An Unborn Child?

I live in Los Angeles California and I am 26weeks pregnant. I'm 19 years old. I was a big weed smoker before pregnancy and I slowly quit once I found out I was pregnant. I quit 2months into my pregnancy.
Now I'm 26weeks pregnant and I slipped and smoked a few puffs.

Will cps take my child away? Do hospitals drug test me/ or the baby at birth? I'm a first time mom and really nervous. Also, will it still be in my system or the baby's by February 1st?

Hi,
No, Weed smoking in pregnancy is not safe. It can cause birth defects, mental development defects( attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.) The babies have risk of developing leukemia.
Please do not worry, because you have left smoking. please never do it again. Be loyal to your doctor, so that he can advise few tests to check normal development of your baby.
Weed smoking is considered illegal, so doctors check mothers at hospital/children after birth-if they have doubt about smoking.( mother's behavior, birth defects or withdrawal symptoms in baby)
* Please do not be stressful. Every thing will be OK provided you totally abandon smoking weed completely. You still have 3 months to go, by he time the effect from blood/urine should vanish.
Thanks.
