Hello.
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.
Sprains are due to overstretching of the muscles in mostly wrong directions. Time it takes to heal depends on the extent of injury of the muscle fibres. Use crepe bandage, muscle relaxant tablets with pain killer, hot fomentation and local muscle relaxant ointments.
