Vomiting, Diarrhea. Taken Ice Chips. How Can I Help?

My little sister woke up in the middle of the night throwing up and has thrown up aboit 7 times in the past hour and a half. Also very bad diarrhea and my parents are out of town. I have my older sister here too but is there any way i can help her? Get her to feel better and stop throwing up? Im also not feeling well, like ill be in her condition soon. She has water and i gave her ice chips because when i get scarlet fever i like those. I want her to feel better and myself as well so is there any thing i can do? Ive looked at a few websites and they say if this continues for a little while longer to take her to the er?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
thank you for your query,
You haven't mentioned the age of your sister. Probably she is having an attack of acute gastroenteritis.
Give her a safe antiemetic to stop her vomiting first. Then give her a probiotic powder to stop her loose motions. If her vomiting stops rehydrate with ORS solution. But if her vomiting cannot be stopped and she gets drowsy and weak then you might need to take her to ER for iv Fluids.I hope if dealt properly she will recover soon.Wishing her a speedy recovery. Bye
