Vaginal Itching, White Spots, Sore Throat, Hurts To Swallow, Swollen Glands. Had Unprotected Sex. STD?

Hi there, on Thursday (6 days ago) I had sex and gave oral to somebody. starting 2 days ago, I started getting itchy down there, and noticed there were white spots attached to the inside of my vagina. and yesterday, my throat started to get really sore. hurts to swallow , and my right gland is quite swollen. today i looked in my throat and I noticed some white spots on my gland and a bit of white on the back of my tongue . I m wondering if this is an STD or maybe just strep throat? because strep is currently going around. thanks.

Hi there.

Any sexual act leading onto an infection can technically be classified as an STD (or sexually transmitted disease).

However, in your particular instance from your description, it does not appear to be a streptococcal infection. It appears to be more of a 'fungal aeitology'.

For best results, of course, please do visit your nearest dermatologist or venereologist. However, i would recommend a 200mg fluconazole+2gram tinnidazole combination tablet medication taken as a single dose & please ensure lots of fluid intake & a warm saline gargle post meals.

Depending on which part of the world you are from, you can get a 'combination' kit called eg FAS kit that may take care of any infection taken as a single dose. These will require a doctor's prescription.

The most important advice i can share with you though will have to be "please practice 'SAFE SEX' "!
Good Luck & Godspeed!
