The other day I jumped over a hurdle in athletics and one of my knees cracked and I just fell to the ground in pain and I had to hit it and try to knock it to make the pain go. I hope you can help because I can't stand the pain anymore. :(

Thanks for writing to us.
The unbearable pain that you have can be relieved by taking pain killers and avoiding any weight bearing on the knee at all costs. Do consult an orthopedician for MRI scan and a knee brace.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.

Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.
From the description, I suspect "Patello femoral arthritis" in you. This typically manifests as pain in the front portion of knees especially while going up and coming down a staircase. Nothing to worry as such about it as this problem is more often seen in younger individuals only and can be managed with medicines and physiotherapy.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon and follow his advice.
Hope this helps. Good day
