hi Dr. may i ask the questions? 30 April 2013 Last night i had an Ultrasound scan & Doppler Reports ( REAL TIME B MODE ULTRASONGRAPHY OF PELVIS). Urinary Bladder: appears normal in outline. No calculi or mass lesion.
Uterus: is normal in size, measures 68 * 30 * 38 mm. Myometrial echoes normal. Endometrial thickness is 10 mm. Cervix normal.
Ovaries: Shows small similar sized follicles arranged peripherally. Right ovary measuring 37 * 22 mm Left ovary measures 36 * 20 mm.
First of all, interpretation of your results depend on what phase of the menstrual cycle you were during the ultrasound examination.
Moreover, if you had another ultrasound examination a few weeks before this one, then you need to see your gynecologist in order to address the polycystic ovaries. Alternatively, if this is the first ultrasound examination over the last few month, you should repeat the examination after a few weeks as cysts in ovaries can also be normal. The exact date of the repeat examination should be correlated with your gynecologist.
Kind Regards,
