hi, i am 26 years of age, i have two kids but there seems to be at least 2 years of trying to get pregnant before actuall falling pregnant. do you think there is something wrong with me? my youngest is 2 now and i have not been on pill since she was born! fell pregnant in august last year but had an early miscarraige after bout 2 weeks...

Since you already have two kids and have miscarried once, there does not seem to be any problem with your fertility. You need to time your intercourse nearest to they time of ovulation during the fertile days of your cycle.

If natural conception takes longer than a year, then, the cause needs to be investigated. The cause of the abortion you had in the past should also be understood. After having 2 children, the cause of failure to conceive would be mostly local or hormonal. You could be ovulating but the hormonal disturbances may not facilitate conception and implantation. Also maintain a healthy BMI, get some regular daily exercise and eat healthy. You can take folic acid as a supportive medication. Please consult a specialist for further support. Good luck.
