Why Is Naturogest 200 Taken?

Hi, today my wife has got +ve in home pregnancy test and her doctor suggested to take Naturogest 200 (after food and in night) and folic acid tablet. We are not very sure for what reason she needs to take this medicine. Please share your knowledge... Thanks

Hi,

Naturogest is progesterone, it helps maintain the pregnancy and prevents miscarriages. Folic acid is mandatory in the first 3 months of pregnancy as it helps in preventing neural tube defects in the baby. Both these medications are beneficial for pregnancy.
