Suggest Alternate For Folic Acid

Hello im going to be 31 this year and currently pregnant with my first baby.My doctor gave me folic acid 5 mg but the problem is every time i take folic acid i observed that i dont feel good .caused me stomach problem, keeps me on burping and if possible vomit all the way..I know that taking the folic acid while in the stage of conceiving is so important but i dont feel ok in taking it.Lastly is it advisable to take folic acid even though i have a hyper acidity here.ty

Hello,

These side effects do not occur if you take folic acid while taking meals. When mixed with food its side effects become lesser and it becomes more tolerable. No, there's no alternative to folic acid unfortunately and you have to take it as it is.
