Dear user, welcome to healthcare magic.
I don't know why you took the pills 2 days before your periods were supposed to start. The bleeding you have is expected. In such conditions I advise my patients to stop the pills, take hemostatic drugs like those containing tranexamic acid or diosmin, and wai for a couple of days.
If bleeding stops or regresses, we may resume the pills. If bleeding doesn't stop or is progressive, I would advise my patient to continue on the hemostatic drug and take the pills 2 or 3 times a day for the first 3 days and then decrease gradually.
Finally, this kind of pills you mentioned (the triphasic class), is less effective on the controll of bleeding than the traditional biphasic types.
I hope these words were useful to you.
Good luck.
Dr. Ahmed Bahaa.
