Dear Kay, welcome to healthcare magic. The pills are contraindicated if there is a liver or gall bladder disease. Also excessive diarrhea and bowel malfunction may affect proper absorption of the pills and thus their efficacy. In similar cases I advise my patients to change this method of contraception. Using an intrauterine device is a good alternative. You should also visit your local doctor for these symptoms you describe because this is not normal after removing your gall bladder. I hope these words were useful to you. Good luck. Dr. Ahmed Bahaa.
