Swelling In Upper Lip And Inner Nasal Area. Prescribed Antibiotics For Sinus/tooth Problem, However Have No Relief .
I have a problem. i went to er because i was getting a swollen uper lip and under the nose. and down the side of nose making the swelling go to the inside of nose too.its making the teeth hurt but more like the pressure is. i do have some bad teeth . but everytime ive had any type of absest tooth its always been really painful this is more like pressure like i said. Anyways they gave me a antibodic. and motrin and said that its a sinus or ur tooth and and said either way the antibodic will help with both. He also told me to get over the counter afrin to help.I started the meds on monday and it is now almost friday and swelling has not gone down. and its hard... What is happening and how long will this take
Hi, Thanks and welcome to HCM. If there is no improvement after 5 days treatment with antibiotics ,it is high time to change the antibiotic. the area that is affected is dangerous and it may lead to cavernous sinus thrombosis, a life threatening condition.
