Swelling In Eyes With Purplish Brown Color. History Of Hitting Side Of Head To Motor Engine, Swelling And Headache. Any Ideas?

Hi, my dad had an accident this past saturday and he ended up hitting the side of his head on the part of a motor engine while working under his vehicle. He got a bump that swelled on the side of his temple and a headache, but after icing the area and taking some pain reliever, he felt better. Now it is three days later and his eye (on the side that he hit his head on) is swelling up and there is a purplish/brownish color to it. Is it normal for his eye to be bruising like this? if so why is it barely bruising if the accident happened three days ago?

Radiologist 's  Response
Hello,
Please meet a neurosurgeon and get a CT scan of head done if advised by him. Your dad needs to be examined by the doctor for any internal head injury.
They may also check his vision for possible visual disturbances.
Hope this helps.
