Hi im 32 weeks pregnant. I wa very ill, vomitimg diarriah. I went to the Drs yesterday and they founf e. coli in my urin. I was given a perscription of antibiotics to take after going to get another urin sample today a clean sweeep THe Dr said to take the antibiotics after this test today. But since my drs appointment I found out the kids i watch ha a stomach bug over the weekend and Im thinking sinceI went to the drs the afternoon after being so ill, maybe I do not have e.coli in my body. I took the urine test at my drs office after a long night and half a day of vomiting and diariah with no shower? Being the holiday weekend my drs will not get accurate urine result till tuesday. I dont want to start this antbiotic unles I really have to. will it harm the baby if I do have this e. coli in my system and wait till tuesday for my results?
