I have severe dry eyes, especially in my left eye. I had them clear and then I had upper and lower eye lid surgery. I had a plug in the left eye to help while I had surgery. I had it removed 3 weeks after my surgery because my eye was dripping all the time. Now I am back to my left eye being severely dry. I have been using Lotemax drops and GenTeal in both eyes. My left eye is still very, very dry. PLEASE HELP ME. What would you recommend I do?
Hello It seems from the history that you are having severe dry eyes and you are on treatment with lotemax and gen teal eye drops. The first line of treatment is by use of artificial tear eye drops like genteal eye drops and you can use them more frequently. The next mode of treatment is by use of anti-inflammatory eye drops like steroids and cyclosporine eye drops. Punctal plugs can be used again if it is not responding to medical treatment. Hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor for examination and treatment depending on the severity of the condition.
Thank you
